We thank the Lord that since February 1st He opened the doors and provided so we could make our daily audio programs available as podcasts. They are available on seven major podcast platforms: Apple, Google Podcasts, Castbox (especially popular among Iranians), Stitcher, PlayerFM, PodBean and BeyondPod. The number of platforms will almost certainly increase.
We began this podcast ministry in February by making two shows available every day. New episodes of Zendegi-ye Tazeh (“New Life”) and Payame Mohabbat (“The Message of Love”) post every day. Starting in May, we will add two more shows to the list, Avaze Nejat (“Voice of Salvation”) and Farzandane Nour (“Children of Light”).
Our goal is to include new shows on both discipleship and evangelism. Some of the shows we plan to offer were produced by other ministries that want to make them available to people in Iran. Their program content combined with our technological resources makes for a good partnership. We are grateful we have a name that is widely known and “findable” on the internet and our programs are available through a wide variety of media.
The great benefit of podcasts is that people can listen “offline.” The internet is expensive in Iran, so people can take their mobile device to an internet café, their place of work, or their university where they can download the programs and save them to listen at a later time when they have more privacy.
Pray that God will give us wisdom for the many technical decisions that we need to make so our podcasts will be effective. Pray that God will use our promotion of the podcasts to cause millions of Iranians to begin downloading and listening to the programs.
Most importantly, pray for a lasting spiritual impact on those who listen. Pray for Muslim Iranians to turn to Christ and Iranian Christians to grow in their faith.
