Beginning in the 1950s Fern Scott served Iranians by working as a nurse.\u00a0 She started out in Hamadan, a city famous as the burial place of Queen Esther and her uncle Mordecai.<\/p>\n

She moved up to Rasht after her stint in Hamadan.\u00a0 Following extended nurses training back in the States, she moved to Tabriz to work in the nursing school associated with the Presbyterian mission in that city.\u00a0 In her free time she led a women\u2019s Bible study.\u00a0 But with 14-hour days, she didn\u2019t have time for much else.<\/p>\n

Today it is not possible for missionaries like Fern Scott to share the Gospel in person in Iran. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

All the missionaries had to leave the country following the 1979 Islamic Revolution.\u00a0 And since then it has been risky for Iranian Christians to share their faith.\u00a0 But God has opened doors to make it possible to use different ways to proclaim the Gospel and teach the Bible.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\"satellite\"Voice of Christ Media Ministries has been using traditional radio broadcasting for almost 40 years to teach the Word of God to Iranians.\u00a0 Today, by the grace of God, the ministry has expanded as God has opened doors to cutting-edge technologies including the internet, satellite radio and social media.<\/p>\n
