Promises, promises. Sometimes we’re tempted to be cynical about promises because they seem to be made so casually.
Many promises today are often accompanied by “fine print” that essentially nullifies any obligation to honor them. Sadly, many of us have even come to expect that “promises are made to be broken.”
As a ministry committed to serving and honoring Jesus Christ, Voice of Christ Media promises to operate in a manner reflecting integrity, honesty, excellence, and faithful stewardship of the resources entrusted to us. This has always been our pledge to our friends and supporters.
However, our pledge can only take on credibility when it is fortified by our actions. We want to prove ourselves faithful to our promises. This is why the ECFA seal means so much to us—and to you.
Voice of Christ Media has been a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability since 1988. ECFA exists to help ensure the integrity of Christ-centered organizations that are qualified for nonprofit, tax-exempt status. Through accreditation by ECFA, we demonstrate our commitment to biblical excellence and accountability—not only in word, but also in deed.
The ECFA seal means that our organization:
- Has a clear and strong commitment to evangelical Christianity
- Has an independent Board of Directors that governs our activities
- Submits to independent audits of our financial statements
- Manages and applies funds with appropriate controls
- Believes in and practices financial disclosure
- Follows strict standards for fundraising and stewardship
The ECFA seal is an outward expression of our inner resolve to represent truth and integrity in all aspects of our ministry, including our fund-raising, financial accounting and reporting, governance and the stewardship of God’s resources. Voice of Christ Media Ministries is dedicated to bringing honor and glory to God’s name. The ECFA Standards of Responsible Stewardship give more detail about the standards of integrity to which we have committed.
